On July 2, Ondo Finance announced a collaboration with Broadridge Financial Solutions (NYSE: BR) to launch the first custodial tokenized U.S. securities program operated by a third party within the current regulatory framework in the United States. The tokenized assets include the iShares Core S&P 500 ETF (IVV) managed by BlackRock and Micron Technology (MU). The related tokens are issued on the Ethereum blockchain and are backed 1:1 by the underlying stocks held by a regulated custodian, ensuring that the underlying securities remain within the traditional regulated custodial chain in the U.S. Broadridge will provide token holders with services such as proxy voting, issuer communications, and regulatory information disclosure through its platform, allowing them to enjoy the same shareholder rights and protections as traditional securities investors.
