Venezuela earthquake has killed 9 Chinese citizens
Venezuela experienced a “double strong earthquake” of magnitude 7.2 and 7.5 on June 24 local time. As of now (July 2), the number of people killed has risen to 2,295. According to CCTV News, based on information learned from the Chinese Embassy in Venezuela, from 19:00 on June 30 to 18:00 on July 1, it has been confirmed that another Chinese citizen has died in Venezuela’s “6·24 earthquake.” Since the earthquake occurred, a total of 9 Chinese citizens have died.
Jorge Rodríguez, the President of Venezuela’s National Assembly, said that the death toll from the recent earthquake in the country has risen to 2,295, the number of injured has risen to 11,267, and after the strong earthquake there were 782 aftershocks.
