On July 1, Palantir CEO Alex Karp expressed during his appearance on CNBC's 'Squawk Box' that the prevailing attitude in the business world towards AI is one of resistance—companies are buying a lot of tokens but not receiving real value in return, instead surrendering their intellectual property and data. He criticized the business model of large model vendors that charge based on tokens: if tokens are so valuable, why don’t they share profits based on earnings instead of charging by usage?
