Palantir CEO Alex Karp condemns the token-based charging model for large language model tokens.

On July 1, Palantir CEO Alex Karp said on CNBC's "Squawk Box" that the general attitude of the business world towards AI is currently one of resistance — buying a bunch of tokens, getting no real value, and instead giving away their own intellectual property and data. He criticized the business model of large model companies charging by token: Since tokens are so valuable, why don't they share in the profits rather than charging by usage?
