Mars Finance News, July 2 – Iran is preparing for the state funeral of former Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, with the military issuing stern warnings. Ali Abdollahi, commander of the Iranian Armed Forces' Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, stated: "We warn the United States and Israel not to make any miscalculations. Any threat or aggression will invite the brutal retaliation of the Iranian armed forces." Iranian Foreign Minister Araghchi also spoke out on social media, urging Trump to "keep his minions in Tel Aviv in line." Funeral arrangements: The funeral procession will begin in Tehran on July 4, with burial in Mashhad on July 9, and memorial events will be held in Qom and Iraq during the period. Iran has raised its national security level and implemented temporary airspace controls in multiple locations. Iranian Parliament Speaker Ghalibaf called on the public to participate in the funeral on a large scale, "so that the cry of revenge resonates around the world." Currently, the next round of indirect negotiations between the U.S. and Iran will begin after the funeral, focusing on the implementation of the ceasefire memorandum, unfreezing of assets, and issues related to the Strait of Hormuz. The two sides remain sharply opposed on the issue of freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz. Khamenei was killed in an airstrike on the first day of the war on February 28 of this year. His son, Mojtaba Khamenei, has succeeded him as Supreme Leader.
