Trump Takes Inaugural Flight on New "Air Force One" Gifted by Qatar

President Donald Trump took his first flight on his long-awaited new "Air Force One" on Wednesday, a luxurious Boeing 747-8 gifted to the United States by the Qatari government. A small group of reporters accompanied the trip. The new aircraft underwent a $400 million renovation, equipping the president with state-of-the-art security and technology gear, including a new communications system. The renovation also made partial modifications to the lavish interior of the former Qatar royal private jet. Trump personally reviewed the exterior design of the plane, and the new paint scheme abandons the iconic white and light blue color scheme of the old "Air Force One," adopting red, white, navy blue, and gold colors, giving it a look similar to Trump's private jet. On Wednesday, Trump flew aboard the plane to North Dakota to attend the opening ceremony of the Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library.
