British American Tobacco will cut 9,000 jobs.

On June 29, according to reports, British American Tobacco plans to reduce its global workforce of 47k employees by roughly one-fifth as part of its large-scale cost reduction and operational streamlining plan. According to an internal notice, by the end of this year, the company will cut 5,500 positions and outsource another 3,500 positions. The above figures do not include British American Tobacco's U.S. operations. (Interface News)
