The first national-level crew assessment center in the north has been put into operation.

On June 23, the first national-level crew assessment center in northern China—the Tianjin Maritime Safety Administration Crew Assessment Center—was inaugurated, which is of great significance for enhancing the soft power of international shipping and supporting the high-quality development of China's crew workforce. It is understood that the Tianjin Maritime Safety Administration Crew Assessment Center is equipped with internationally advanced hardware and software facilities, including a 360° panoramic navigation simulator, automated engine room, ultra-large crude carrier simulator, and dual-fuel engine simulator. It has built a total of 17 comprehensive assessment rooms and 280 computer-based examination stations across three major categories: navigation, marine engineering, and marine electronic and electrical engineering.
