Mars Finance reports that the China Meteorological Administration, jointly with the National Development and Reform Commission, recently issued the "15th Five-Year Plan for National Meteorological Development." The plan specifies that by 2030, key meteorological technologies will achieve significant breakthroughs, artificial intelligence will be deeply integrated into the meteorological field, extreme weather monitoring, forecasting, and early warning capabilities will be significantly enhanced, major progress will be made in Earth system forecasting and the construction of Earth system data platforms, meteorological data elements will become a key driver of economic and social development, and the overall capacity for coordinating development and security in meteorological support will be comprehensively strengthened. China's comprehensive meteorological strength and international influence will be greatly enhanced, with meteorological technology, monitoring, and forecasting capabilities reaching world-class levels, meteorological services achieving global leadership, and China becoming an important force in global meteorological governance.
