DTCC’s NSCC now clears trades 24 hours a day on every business day after DTCC processed roughly $3.7 quadrillion last year. The SEC signed off on the rule change before client testing began earlier this year. Major exchanges such as Nasdaq are expected to add overnight trading sessions later this year and into 2027.
