Stop asking whether it's long or short. If you're asking, you're already a step behind.

The other day, I had a drink with a veteran who's been in the game for ten years, and he dropped a harsh truth:

"In this market, anyone can talk about direction. Whether you make money depends on your rhythm."

After hearing that, I was genuinely impressed.

Look around—most people are still torn between spot and futures.

Buy the dip or wait for the bull run? $BTC

But the market has already changed its game.

Before, you could hold and wait for a comeback. Now, holding just means slowly shrinking.

I've seen the most classic example:

A guy went all-in on spot with 120k U during the bull run, saying he'd hold for three years.

Result: after one cycle, he had only a little over 10k left.

It wasn't that he chose the wrong coin—he had no rhythm.

I paid that tuition fee myself.

I used to always think about holding long-term, but after one adjustment, all my profits vanished.

Later, I completely changed my approach—

No more betting on direction, just playing the rhythm. $ETH

Take a bite when there's volatility, stay on the sidelines when there's no opportunity.

Take profits and leave, don't fantasize about the next leg.

You'll find that your money becomes more stable.

Lately, I've been leading people in short-term trades. One entry, close within a day.

How much you make doesn't matter—the key is replicability.

That's the core.

In the current market, if you're still waiting for a 10x miracle, you're basically waiting for others to dump on you.

Major coins aren't trending, altcoins flow in waves. If you're even a step slow in rhythm, you'll catch the last baton.

That's why I've been emphasizing two things:

Making money depends on rhythm; keeping money depends on position management.

You can be wrong, but you must be able to adjust in time.

You can make little, but you can't lose everything at once.

Many people don't lack chart-reading skills—they just can't bring themselves to exit.

In other words, you lose to that little "let me wait a bit longer" inside you.

The current market is brutally realistic: $SOL

Those who can execute survive; the emotional get eliminated.

If you're still chasing randomly, holding positions stubbornly, and have no rhythm,

No matter bull or bear, it's hard for you to turn things around.

Brother, you speak harshly but truthfully. I've seen too many people hold during bull markets and cut losses during bear markets. It's not that the coin is no good, it's that the people are no good.

The idea that short-term setups are repeatable and replicable is crucial. I used to fantasize about making ten times, but now I just hope to take a little profit every day—living longer is what makes you the real winner.

Rhythm is indeed more important than direction. In the current market, even if your direction is right, if your timing is off, you'll still get buried.
