Apple is preparing to launch an upgraded iPad Pro series and a redesigned entry-level MacBook Pro next year, with these new products set to be part of a series of major product releases marking the 20th anniversary of the iPhone.

According to Bloomberg, citing people familiar with the matter, the company is testing four new iPad Pro models, planned for a spring 2027 launch. These models will continue to maintain the current 11-inch and 13-inch screen sizes.

This upgrade primarily focuses on internal performance improvements, including faster chips. Previous reports indicated that Apple has tested vapor chamber cooling systems for tablets to enhance sustained performance and reduce overheating issues.

Meanwhile, Apple is also preparing a redesigned entry-level MacBook Pro, internally codenamed K104, which is expected to launch as early as the first half of next year. This 14-inch laptop will adopt a new design language and align with the design direction Apple is preparing for its high-end MacBooks, which are expected to launch between late this year and early next year.

The company completed development of another entry-level MacBook Pro (codenamed J804) several months ago. This model was originally planned to launch this year, featuring an existing design and an M6 base chip. This lower-end model was last updated in October 2025.

Apple also plans to launch its first M7 processor as early as the first half of next year, accelerating the transition from M6 to M7 while strengthening the chip's optimization capabilities for more complex AI computing scenarios.
