A while back, a friend asked Wan Ge, with only 6,000 yuan in hand, if he wanted to try his luck in crypto, and asked how he should go about it.

Wan Ge said that amount isn't much, but it's not too little either—it's right on the line in crypto: enough to practice, but definitely don't gamble your life on it. Converted, it's just over 400U. If you want to grow that money, it's not about luck, it's about rhythm.

He said okay, then just tell me how to operate directly.

I said don't come in thinking you'll 10x it right away, because then you'll get the first trade wrong from the start. I told him to split the money: divide the 400U into 4 parts, use only 100U each time for trial and error. Once that 100U is lost, stop and wait for the next round—don't rush to recover losses.

When entering, don't just blindly jump in—wait for clear signals. Either when the market is panicking and crashing, or right when it's just starting to move but hasn't accelerated yet. Find those spots to make your move. Open a position with 100U, keep leverage within 10x, and don't be greedy. Your first goal isn't to make money—it's to survive first.

He asked me, how much profit on the first trade counts as winning?

I said whether you profit or not really doesn't matter—what matters is whether you got the process right. If the direction is correct and it rises 30% to 50%, first take some profit off the table. Don't think about eating the whole move from start to finish. Let the remaining position ride, wherever it goes.

He said, isn't that just like gambling?

I said gambling relies on guessing; this relies on rules. Lots of people die because they run when they're up a little and hold on when they're losing. You do the opposite—let profits run when you're up, cut losses decisively when you're down. That's what trading is.

He actually followed this approach for one round, and 100U rolled into over 200U. It's not much, but the process was smooth. I told him to repeat this process—don't rush, take it round by round. If you execute without mistakes for three rounds, it's possible to roll 400U into 2000U or 3000U.

But there's a prerequisite—you must not lose your composure.

Once it actually rolls to that number, I told him to do one thing: withdraw all the principal and leave the profits inside to keep playing. Lots of people skip this step and end up giving everything back. It's not bad luck—it's that the market gave you an opportunity, and you gave it back.

He later told me he felt he wasn't panicking even when losing, because the principal had been withdrawn long ago.

In crypto, it's never a shortage of opportunities—it's a shortage of people who can control themselves. #btc #
