A man was seriously injured and left unconscious after being attacked with scissors in a unit on the 10th floor of Cheung Fai Building, No. 22 Tong Mi Road, Mong Kok, in the afternoon. He was taken to Kwong Wah Hospital for rescue, but later died. Police arrested two suspects. It was reported that the attacker was a friend of the deceased, and no stab wounds or scissor wounds were found on the deceased. The motive for the attack is still under investigation.

Separately, this morning, police received a report that a unit at Butterfly House, Butterfly Estate, on the 3rd floor, was emitting a foul smell. Firefighters arrived, broke down the door, and found a man in his 40s lying outside the bathroom. His death was confirmed on the spot. It was reported that the man lived alone. Police found bloodstains on the floor of the unit. There were also signs of a struggle and ransacking at the scene. The case has so far been classified as a body discovery.
