Korean retail investors have accumulated net purchases of 97.4 trillion won in the Korean stock market in the first 5 months of this year.

Jinse Finance reports that as of July 1, data from the Korea Exchange shows that from January to May this year, individual investors in the Korean stock market accumulated net purchases totaling 97.4 trillion Korean won (approximately 974k RMB). According to a recent report from Samsung Securities, the increase in individual investor funds can be attributed to three main sources: rising incomes of Korean residents, with new income used for investment; adjustments in residents' financial asset allocation structures; and borrowing on margin to enter the market.
