CoinWorld news: Wu Shuo learned that Marc Zeller, founder of the AAVE Chan Initiative (ACI), tweeted that AAVE DAO’s delegated service provider, ACI, officially ended operations today. ACI was launched more than three years ago as a community-supported delegated platform, without support from Labs, VC, or other entities. Marc Zeller said that during ACI’s operation, the AAVE protocol turned from an annual deficit of $35 million to annual revenue of $150 million, the price of AAVE rose by 9 times, and a network consisting of talent, service providers, and representatives was built. He said this marks the end of a chapter, but not the end of the journey—news about new projects will be announced soon.

In three years, from -35 million to +150 million, this financial turnaround could be written into business school cases in traditional finance. DeFi protocols have finally proven that they can survive without relying on coin printing subsidies.

9x coin price + turning losses into profits, ACI's operational data is indeed strong. But the wording "end of operations" is a bit subtle—is it a strategic pivot or the team going separate ways? Waiting for Marc's follow-up.

From a deficit protocol to an annual revenue of 150 million, AAVE’s past three years are a microcosm of how DeFi makes it through. As a community services provider, ACI has stepped down successfully—more than those “grant-farm” entities that just lie around and refuse to leave.

Marc said, "It's not the end of the journey," combined with hints of a "new project," it feels like he's planning to take the talent network accumulated by ACI to build a new protocol? Betting on an L2 native lending.

Didn't run when the deficit was 35 million, exited when profits hit 150 million — ACI's timing is quite Web3. The ultimate form of a community delegation platform might be to disband at the right time, returning the stage to the DAO itself.

ACI has truly lifted AAVE from the ICU into the profitable ward over these three years—turning a deficit into annual revenue of 150 million, and the token price has also risen 9 times. A community-driven delegated platform can run like this, which is far stronger than many projects endorsed by VC firms. Waiting for new projects.
