BlockBeats news, July 1, Fed Chairman Walsh sidestepped a question about whether the Fed might raise interest rates at its July meeting. "I hope that when we meet in four weeks, we will have a full 'family discussion,'" he said. "When we meet behind closed doors, we will have a vigorous debate. But other than that, I have no more information to disclose."

Walsh made these remarks at the European Central Bank's annual policy conference in Sintra, Portugal; it was his first public appearance since his debut at the Fed's press conference last month. Since then, investors have begun to anticipate more rate hikes by the Fed, but the market currently sees a less than 50% chance of a rate hike this month. (Jin Shi)
