BlockBeats News, July 1—According to a report by 21st Century Business Herald, the market has learned that passive component company Yageo has notified its customers that, starting today, it will raise the quotes for its entire range of capacitor products. This includes multilayer ceramic capacitors (MLCC), aluminum electrolytic capacitors, tantalum capacitors, polymer aluminum capacitors, film capacitors, and supercapacitors. This is the largest price-increase range Yageo has implemented in recent years.

Previously, overseas MLCC manufacturers such as Murata, Samsung Electro-Mechanics, and Taiyo Yuden issued price adjustment notices. For high-capacity MLCCs used in AI servers, the typical price increase range has generally reached 15% to 35%, and in some spot markets, prices for certain scarce models have doubled.

On the same day, reporters at the Munich Shanghai Electronics Exhibition learned that multiple MLCC manufacturers are already in the process of preparing for price increases in the second half of the year.
