Yunnan Honghe: Using Coffee as a Medium to "Chain" the World

Abstract generation in progress
On June 22, the fourth China International Supply Chain Expo opened in Beijing, with 12 local coffee enterprises from Yunnan Province participating as a group. As an important coffee processing and trade hub in Yunnan, the Honghe Hani and Yi Autonomous Prefecture brought the Yunnan-Vietnam coffee brand, along with an industrial chain covering multiple segments such as processing, brand operation, and import-export trade. At the expo site, Zhao Ruijun, Secretary of the Honghe Prefecture Party Committee, stated that China's demand for coffee is growing year by year. Honghe Prefecture has a unique geographical advantage, bordering Southeast Asian countries such as Vietnam and Laos. To the south, it can receive coffee imports from Vietnam, while to the west, it borders domestic core production areas such as Pu'er and Baoshan. This dual-channel supply pattern has positioned Honghe Prefecture as both a "coffee deep processing center" and a "coffee trade distribution center." A single coffee bean can be "transformed and upgraded" in Honghe and sold globally. (Xinhua News Agency)
