Today, my Claude account, which I've been using for nearly a year, was banned. In the end, I couldn't escape the bad luck.

Actually, ever since version 4.6 came out, I fully switched from ChatGPT to Claude.

Even though Codex has recently been so good, with large capacity and low cost, I never cancelled my Claude subscription.

I never expected Anthropic to be so ruthless toward Chinese users, actually implanting hidden code that identifies locally before sending it back to the cloud backend, carrying out a large-scale, point-to-point ban.

The intention behind this is probably very clear. It's highly likely that there's a hint from the U.S. government. The AI competition between China and the U.S. has reached a boiling point, with the gap between both sides narrowing constantly, and we've finally reached the breaking point.

If it's a contest between nations, then will OpenAI also take similar measures next, starting to ban Chinese accounts...

The era of freedom is over. A new Cold War in AI is about to begin.
