Recently, I noticed a protocol releasing a milestone update saying they completed their Q2 treasury spending plan, and all the comments were about "vision." But when I clicked in, they spent the money, and what they actually did was just two lines...

To be honest, now that on-chain monitoring tools are abundant, everyone is tracking smart money movements every day, but they often overlook what’s most important—the treasury address itself. I make it a habit to scan it once a week, not to check the balance, but to look at the recipients and frequency of spending. If there are vague labels like "advisor fees" or "ecosystem incentives" for several weeks in a row, or a large one-time transfer to an exchange, don’t rush to call it bullish—it might just be rebalancing.

I have my own little checklist: Are there deliverables corresponding to the spending? Has the multisig threshold changed? Does the remaining runway last until the next milestone? Sounds basic, but not many projects actually do it. Anyway, I always read authorization pop-ups three times, so glancing at the treasury a few extra times isn’t too much to ask.
