On July 1, a senior Iranian official stated that indirect talks between Tehran and Washington began on Tuesday evening local time in Doha. The discussions primarily focused on the release of Iranian funds and issues related to the Strait of Hormuz. The official mentioned, "The indirect negotiations started on Tuesday evening. Iranian officials met with officials from Qatar and Pakistan, who subsequently engaged with the US side. The indirect talks continued on Wednesday, concentrating on Iran's frozen assets and the Strait of Hormuz issues."
