Coin World News, according to the official social media page of Village People, the band's lead singer Victor Willis has passed away at the age of 74. The musician, born in Texas, was the lead vocalist and co-writer of many of the band's hit songs, including "YMCA". He left the band in 1980, returned in 2017, and performed "YMCA" at U.S. President Donald Trump's pre-inauguration rally in January 2025.
