China Iron and Steel Association: National daily crude steel output in mid-June was 2.76 million tons, down 1.0% month-on-month.

According to the China Iron and Steel Association, in mid-June 2026, key statistical steel enterprises produced a total of 21 million tons of crude steel, with an average daily output of 210.0 million tons, representing a month-on-month increase of 0.8%. They produced 1901 million tons of pig iron, with an average daily output of 190.1 million tons, representing a month-on-month increase of 0.7%. They produced 2048 million tons of steel, with an average daily output of 204.8 million tons, representing a month-on-month increase of 5.6%. Based on this, the national daily output of crude steel for this period was 276 million tons, a month-on-month decrease of 1.0%; the daily output of pig iron was 239 million tons, a month-on-month increase of 0.7%; and the daily output of steel was 423 million tons, a month-on-month increase of 2.8%.
