Bai'a Railway Wu'a Expansion and Capacity Enhancement Project Tunnel Begins Excavation

Reporters learned from China Railway 11th Bureau Group that on the 23rd, excavation began for the new South Xing'an Tunnel of the Bai-A Railway Ulanhot to Arxan capacity expansion and renovation project. The new South Xing'an Tunnel is the only newly built tunnel along the entire line, marking new progress in the construction of the Bai-A Railway Ulanhot to Arxan capacity expansion and renovation project. After the Bai-A Railway Ulanhot to Arxan capacity expansion and renovation project is completed and opened to traffic, the Bai-A Railway’s designed speed will reach 120 kilometers per hour, filling the gap in electrified high-speed railways in the eastern region of Inner Mongolia, and injecting strong momentum into regional economic and social development.
