A unit of the Central Theater Command Air Force conducts a joint military-civilian flood control and rescue exercise.

Recently, a unit of the Air Force under the Central Theater Command coordinated with multiple local entities—including emergency response, communications, and hospitals—and mobilized various types of aircraft and vehicles to conduct a full-element joint military-civilian flood-prevention, disaster-relief, and rescue live-fire drill. The exercise took an innovative approach by using a “helicopter + transport aircraft” networked, coordinated operation model, as well as a “helicopter + UAV” three-dimensional reconnaissance and search mode, setting up typical flood-relief and rescue scenarios such as water surfaces, villages, mountainous areas, and high-rise buildings. Centering on frontline practical missions including aerial command, helicopter landing and rescue, water-based hoisting rescue, material delivery, ground search and rescue, and emergency transfer, it tested the integrated air-ground response and handling capability.
