Circle Removed from Multiple Russell Growth Indices, Including Russell 1000 and Russell 3000

On July 1, Simply Wall St reported that Circle Internet Group (NYSE: CRCL) has been removed from several Russell growth indices, including the Russell 1000 Growth Index, the Russell 3000 Growth Index, and the Russell Midcap Growth Index. This adjustment is part of Russell's latest annual reconstitution of its constituents. The removal significantly impacts Circle's visibility among index funds and certain institutional investors. Although Circle's core business still revolves around the USDC stablecoin and tokenized capital markets, the index removal may affect the passive fund allocations tracking these benchmarks, leading to mechanical sell-offs or reduced future buying interest.
