The Anthropic Claude model officially lands on Microsoft Foundry.

Anthropic announced on June 29 local time that the Claude model is now generally available on Microsoft Foundry (Azure AI Foundry), allowing enterprise users to deploy and invoke Claude models directly in the Azure environment while continuing to use the existing Azure identity authentication, billing, and governance systems. Currently supported are Claude Opus 4.8 and Claude Haiku 4.5, which offer capabilities such as Prompt Caching and Extended Thinking, and can be used for programming, intelligent agents, and complex reasoning scenarios. Anthropic stated that users can also choose inference to run on Azure or Anthropic's managed environment based on their needs, and in the future, both parties will gradually achieve consistency in features and models.
