SK Hynix Files for Nasdaq Listing to Boost AI Chip Production

The South Korean semiconductor giant filed a Form F-1 on June 24, 2026, planning to list American Depositary Shares (ADS) under the ticker SKHY, potentially raising up to $29.4 billion by issuing 17.79 million shares.
Proceeds will be used to expand semiconductor factories in South Korea and increase production of high-bandwidth memory (HBM) chips. HBM is a key component for AI data centers, and SK Hynix holds a 50%–60% share of that market, supplying Nvidia.
After its stock price surged over 300% this year and securing a new multiyear partnership with Nvidia, SK Hynix's IPO aims to tap into strong U.S. investor demand for AI assets while addressing an expected fivefold increase in HBM shortages by 2030.
