CoinWorld News, Crypto wallet Phantom announced increased investment in perpetual contracts, hiring Alvin Hsia, Emily Hsia, and Aris Samad, the founders of the Ventuals project. The perpetual contract space is extremely competitive. Cutting in from the wallet side to distribute traffic—this approach is indeed smoother than a pure DEX.

Ventuals just shut down the market, and it got snapped up by an acquisition team—whether the founder’s mindset totally fell apart or not, I don’t know. But Phantom at least picked up a ready-made one.

Wallet + perpetual contracts, this combination reminds me of when dYdX first launched, but Phantom has the mobile advantage.

Alvin and Emily really have something in derivatives data; looking forward to the upgrade of Phantom's trading experience.

Phantom's talent poaching move is quite ruthless, directly taking the entire core team of Ventuals away. The Hyperliquid ecosystem is about to get lively again.
