Recently, I saw someone staring at on-chain data and shouting "A big order has entered!" but it turned out to be a transaction from ten minutes ago that just got indexed. It's quite frustrating—node latency, RPC caching, index desynchronization—the "real-time" you see often has a time lag, like watching a weather forecast.

I've stopped chasing explanations anyway. I used to go to Discord and ask "Why did my nonce jump?" but now I don't bother. The chain inherently has randomness; as long as the transaction is confirmed on-chain, a few seconds earlier or later won't affect the decision.

But recently, phishing links have become ridiculously abundant, and hardware wallets are out of stock... My three-year-old Ledger suddenly seems precious. Anyway, multi-signature + cold wallet + running my own node—triple redundancy—slow is fine, safety first.
