According to a Reuters report citing a consumer advocacy group Public Citizen, crypto companies have so far spent $189 million to influence the 2026 U.S. midterm elections, surpassing the $170 million spent during the 2024 election cycle. The report states that the crypto industry has contributed more than one-third of all corporate political funding in this year’s U.S. elections, making it the largest corporate political spender to date. The pro-crypto super PAC Fairshake, which supports pro-crypto candidates, has received $82 million in donations this cycle. The report also lists Andreessen Horowitz, Ripple Labs, Crypto.com’s affiliate Foris DAX, and Coinbase as the top four contributors to related political action committees.
