ETH has no moves today?
Instead, I think this is the most interesting chart in days.
A lot of people find consolidation boring, but I’ve developed a habit after years of trading: the quieter the market, the more seriously I take it. Because truly big moves rarely start when everyone is excited.
ETH has been holding steadier than many expected in the past two days. Not because bulls are strong, but because bears are hesitating.
If you’ve been watching the order book closely, you’ll notice a detail. A few days ago, every bounce was immediately met with sell pressure; today is different. When the price ticks up, there’s no obvious selling pressure; when it dips down, there’s no panic selling. This shows no one is willing to keep betting at this level. What the market truly lacks is not direction, but a reason for capital to reposition.
I went through the macro data today. The market is still trading the same thing—when the Fed will cut rates. As long as high-rate expectations don’t change significantly, the dollar will struggle to weaken sustainably, and risk assets will find it hard to stage a full recovery. So what’s suppressing ETH right now is not ETH itself, but the entire macro environment.
Technicals are actually simpler. The daily trend hasn’t been broken, but the 4-hour chart is converging, with volatility shrinking. This structure, I generally don’t chase. Because if you buy before an upside breakout, the risk-reward isn’t ideal; if you short before a downside breakdown, the odds are also mediocre.
So if you ask me which side I’m on today, I’m still leaning bullish.
But this "leaning bullish" doesn’t mean I’m going to go all in right now. Instead, I’m starting to accept that ETH is slowly entering a zone worth watching. What would make me increase my position are just a few signals: BTC continues to hold steady, volume clearly expands, and capital flows back in. If two out of three conditions are met, I’ll start acting.
Many people look for opportunities every day. I now prefer to let opportunities find me.
Because at the end of the day, trading is never about who guesses the most accurately, but about who can hold their bullets for the moment when it’s truly worth pulling the trigger.
