Storage is the housing of silicon-based civilization.

This metaphor is spot on.
HBM is a school-district house—the most scarce, most expensive, everyone wants to grab it.
DRAM is affordable housing—essential demand, high volume, market staple.
NAND is an old, small, and shabby house—low unit price, large capacity, plenty of space.
HBM4 is the top-tier school-district house in first-tier cities like Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen—no ceiling on price.
Buying storage is like buying a house; speculating on storage is like speculating on real estate.
Chips can be iterated, but physical space is always scarce.
