Japanese companies are issuing record amounts of corporate bonds overseas, fueled by a depreciating yen. Mizuho and SMFG are leading this trend, with issuance in overseas currencies surging. The yen has weakened to its lowest level against the dollar since 1986, making overseas issuance more attractive.
