ZetaChain announced that, as it transitions into an AI-focused private memory layer, it will gradually shut down its legacy cross-chain infrastructure and instead focus on new directions such as Anuma and user-owned memory, identity, permissions, payments, and agents. According to the plan, ZetaChain closed platform deposits on June 1, 2026, and opened the final withdrawal window. Previously, on April 27, ZetaChain was exploited by an attacker who took $333,868 from three internal team wallets via a vulnerability in its cross-chain messaging system.
