These past few years staying in my small hometown county, the most disheartening has been the information gap and the social circle.

In the two years in Shanghai, I was scouring on-chain data every day, hunting for arbitrage opportunities. Placing orders at 3 AM for cross-chain arbitrage, watching CEX-DEX spreads during the day—the pace was fast and thrilling. Didn't make much, but there were deals running every day, and my mind was always sharp.

After returning to my hometown, I instantly fell behind. At home, it's all social drinking banquets every day. I'd be holding a glass, but my mind was still calculating gas fees and slippage. When I brought up "on-chain" with the older folks, they looked completely lost: "Another one of those virtual currencies? Don't mess with that—you'll get caught."

The other day I found a small arbitrage opportunity and wanted to involve a local friend. He asked bluntly: "Can this thing be cashed out? Don't tell me the money's stuck at the end."

The most exhausting part is that the vibe is completely different. I'm planning to get out and travel.
