U.S. stock market close: Nasdaq Composite Index rose more than 2%, semiconductor concept stocks led gains.

Mars Finance News, June 30 - U.S. stock market three major indices collectively closed higher, with the Nasdaq up 2.07%, the Dow up 0.59%, and the S&P 500 up 1.17%. Most popular tech stocks rose, with Tesla up over 8%, SpaceX up over 7%, Google up over 4%, and Super Micro Computer down over 8%. Semiconductor equipment and materials, computer hardware led the gains, with the Philadelphia Semiconductor Index up over 3%, KLA up over 11%, Applied Materials up over 10%, and ASML up nearly 5%. Most memory concept stocks rose, with Western Digital up over 11%, Micron Technology up over 1% (once fell over 9% during the session), and SanDisk down nearly 2%. Department stores, lithium mining concept stocks, and precious metals sectors declined, with Dillard's down over 7%, Harmony Gold and Royal Gold down over 2%. The Nasdaq Golden Dragon China Index closed up 1.41% at 5810.93 points. Popular Chinese concept stocks generally rose, with Baidu up over 7%, XPeng up over 5%, NetEase up over 4%, iQiyi and Bilibili up over 2%. (Ke Gu Bao Report)
