BlockBeats news, June 30 — Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson said that Iran’s current top priority is to ensure that all provisions of the Memorandum of Understanding are implemented. Regarding the U.S. commitment covered in Article 10 of the Memorandum of Understanding that allows Iranian oil exports, the U.S. has issued the required licenses, and Iran is following up on the implementation progress. Regarding the unfreezing of Iran’s frozen assets covered in Article 11, the relevant implementation procedures are also moving forward. This week, Iran will send a technical delegation to Qatar to consult on the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding, including Article 11.

The spokesperson said that Iran has not yet started negotiations on the final agreement. Under Article 13 of the Memorandum of Understanding, the prerequisite for starting negotiations on the final agreement is that Articles 1, 4, 5, 10, and 11 begin to be implemented and continue to be carried out. In addition, the spokesperson emphasized that in the coming days, Iran will not hold negotiations with the United States at any level. The trip of U.S. representatives to Qatar has no connection with the Iranian technical delegation’s trip. The purpose of the Iranian delegation’s trip to Qatar is to follow up on the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding (including Article 11). (Jin Shi)
