That ancient manuscript is like a time machine written with ink. It contains history, science, folklore, and even prophecies from ancient people.
*Various famous ancient manuscripts*
1. *Nusantara Manuscripts*: There is the Nagarakretagama manuscript that tells about Majapahit, Babad Tanah Jawi, and Serat Centhini. Many use ancient Javanese, Sundanese, or Malay scripts on palm leaves and tree bark.
2. *World Manuscripts*: The Dead Sea Scrolls from Israel, containing the oldest Biblical texts. Then there is the Codex Gigas, also known as the Devil's Bible from Europe, very large and full of strange illustrations.
3. *What's inside*: Royal records, medical knowledge, astronomy, navigation science, magic, and folklore. So one manuscript can mix science and myths.
*Why it's so important*
Because these manuscripts are real evidence of how ancient people thought, fought, traded, and believed. Without them, much history would be lost or become mere oral stories.
*Current challenges*
The materials are easily damaged, the ink fades, and the languages are no longer used. That's why many are now being digitized to prevent extinction.
