10 years ago, my startup failed and I owed 300k yuan.
That period was really tough. Every time my phone rang, it was a debt collector calling. The first thing I did when I opened my eyes wasn’t thinking about how to make money, but how to fill the hole that day.
Later, I stumbled into the crypto space by accident. At first, I traded recklessly—chasing pumps, panic selling, knowing nothing. I lost money fast. But that’s how people are: only after many falls do they start to reflect. $ETH
After slowly grinding it out, I boiled it all down to one sentence: Trading isn’t about being smart; it’s about having a system.
Now, I mainly focus on four things: coin selection, entry, position sizing, and exit.
Coin selection is simple—I don’t look at flashy stuff. I mainly look at the daily chart structure. Has the trend emerged? Is the volume following? Then I check the MACD status. Especially a golden cross above the zero line—that gets my attention, because it indicates a sustained move, not just a rebound. $RE
As for entry, I’ve become more and more conservative. I only consider acting after the price has firmly held a key moving average or clearly formed a structure. If the market shows no clear pattern, I’d rather miss the move than gamble early.
Position sizing is the most overlooked, but also the most critical. No matter how promising an opportunity seems, I won’t go all in. In crypto, opportunities are never lacking—what’s lacking is your ability to survive until the next one. $BTC
Exit is the same; set the rules in advance. Take profits in batches when targets are hit. Exit decisively when the structure breaks. Many people don’t lack the ability to make money; they lack the discipline to hold onto it.
One final, very practical point: No method will always be right. Mistakes will happen—just cut losses when you should. Don’t stubbornly hold.
What truly separates people in this market isn’t how many times you’re right, but how little you lose when you’re wrong, and whether you can hold a bit more when you’re right.
If you can do that, you’re already ahead of most people.
Trading isn’t that mysterious. Surviving is what truly matters.
