The U.S. Supreme Court declines to hear a petition for review of the SEC's abolished gag order.

Mars Finance reported that the U.S. Supreme Court has declined to review the constitutionality of a now-repealed U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) policy. The policy had required individuals and companies that reached enforcement settlements with the SEC to refrain from publicly criticizing or questioning the allegations made by the Wall Street regulator. The Supreme Court justices on Monday, without any explanation, rejected a challenge questioning whether the SEC's so-called "gag order" violated individuals' constitutional rights.
