Iran's military only allows ships to pass through the Strait of Hormuz via the southern channel of Larak Island.

Golden Finance reported, June 29, that the Iranian military announced locally on the afternoon of the 29th that all vessels passing through the Strait of Hormuz are only permitted to use the route south of Larak Island. Previously, on the 28th, Iran had released a message stating that vessels passing through the Strait of Hormuz still need to coordinate with the Revolutionary Guard, the safest route for vessels entering the Persian Gulf is south of Hormuz Island, while vessels leaving the Persian Gulf should choose the route south of Larak Island.
