The Iranian military only permits vessels to pass through the Strait of Hormuz via the channel south of Larak Island.

Mars Finance News: On June 29, at 29 p.m. local time, Iran’s military announced that all vessels passing through the Strait of Hormuz are only allowed to transit via the route south of Larak Island. Previously, on June 28, Iran stated that ships transiting the Strait of Hormuz still need to coordinate with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard, and that the safest route for vessels entering the Persian Gulf is via the route south of Hormuz Island, while vessels departing the Persian Gulf should take the route south of Larak Island.
