BlockBeats News, June 29, Serenity stated that General Motors (GM) has laid off approximately 1,000 employees and replaced some positions with about 50 robots. Meanwhile, there are reports that GM is collaborating with NVIDIA on factory robot partnerships. This is seen as an important signal for the robotics industry moving toward large-scale commercial applications, indicating that automation is expected to improve corporate operational efficiency and profit margins, especially in labor-intensive scenarios such as automobile manufacturing, warehousing, and logistics.

Serenity believes that robotics and humanoid robot technologies have largely matured and are currently in the early stages of large-scale deployment. Although large enterprises generally define them as "assistive robots," their core goal remains to replace some manual positions through automation, reducing labor costs such as salaries and insurance, achieving round-the-clock operation, and enhancing profitability. While the widespread adoption of robots may bring employment pressure, a key inflection point for industrial development seems to have arrived.
