Chinese President Xi Jinping met with Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko this morning at the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse in Beijing.

Xi Jinping noted that China and Belarus are true friends who trust and support each other, good partners for common development and prosperity, and all-weather comprehensive strategic partners. The political mutual trust between the two sides is rock-solid, the high-quality joint construction of the Belt and Road has yielded fruitful results, key cooperation projects have been steadily advanced, and multilateral coordination has been effective.

Xi Jinping emphasized that China supports Belarus in safeguarding its national sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity, and in pursuing a development path that suits its national conditions. China is willing to continue providing assistance within its capacity for Belarus's development and construction. The two countries should mobilize resources from various aspects to promote the Belt and Road construction and enrich the connotation of practical cooperation. China is willing to work with Belarus to jointly build a community with a shared future for mankind, implement the four major global initiatives, strengthen coordination and cooperation within multilateral mechanisms such as the United Nations and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, and serve as a stabilizing force in a turbulent world.

Lukashenko expressed that Belarus attaches high importance to its relations with China, looks forward to strengthening strategic communication with China, expanding areas of cooperation, and promoting greater development of bilateral relations. Belarus is willing to continue maintaining close coordination with China on international and regional affairs, jointly promoting peace, development, and stability in the world and the region.
