Samsung, SK Hynix, and Micron face federal class-action lawsuit in the U.S., accused of conspiring to create a memory supply crisis


The lawsuit alleges that the three companies used the production of HBM as a pretext to artificially reduce output of general-purpose DRAM such as DDR3 and DDR4. The plaintiffs are currently citing precedents from the 2000s when the U.S. Department of Justice imposed fines on related companies to support this claim.
