All four defendants, including Lee, were found not guilty. The court held that the 100 million won in funds in this case could not be deemed political funds, and the relevant funds were not proven to have been actually delivered to related figures at the Liberty Korea Party, including People Power Party lawmaker Yoon Han-hong. As a result, the criminal allegations were not proven. The portion of charges against Jeon Seong-bae related to fraud was also ruled not guilty. In addition, Lee is also involved in other cases including a cryptocurrency fraud case involving a scale of 300 billion won, bribery of the media, and the intentional disclosure of BTC held by the police; these cases are still under trial.
