Jinse Finance reports that on June 29, sources revealed that Verizon (VZ.N), the largest wireless communications service provider in the U.S., is in advanced negotiations with British telecom group BT Group to integrate parts of their international operations. The deal is expected to take the form of a joint venture; the equity ownership of the new entity will be adjusted; however, the specific shareholding ratio and transaction terms have not been finalized. Sources say Verizon may announce an agreement with BT Group as early as Monday. Currently, BT Group has a market cap of approximately £19.4 billion ($25.7 billion), while Verizon's market cap is around $194 billion.
