I can understand why the U.S. would choose to carry out military strikes over the weekend, when global financial markets are closed.


What I struggle to understand is why Iran appears to cooperate with that timing. If the objective is to maximize strategic leverage, why follow a schedule that seems to benefit your adversary?
The whole setup feels unusual. There’s something about this entire sequence of events that doesn’t quite add up.
